curly maple, mahogany,yellowheart,ziricote and padauk. this is a large turning-19 in tall 15 in wide. largest I've ever turned !

Sure Stuart....This is quite a large turning. It is 19 in. tall and almost 15 in. wide at its widest point. There are 5 species - curly maple, mahogany, ziricote, padauk and yellowheart. It is near the upper limits of my lathe ( jet 1642 ). It was turned in 2 halves . the top half starts at the top of the feature ring. This was fun to turn. I'm going to turn another large one soon. Hope ya'll like it !!!

Very nice Terry. Are the diamonds done as an inlay? The grain seems so uninterrupted to have been a lamination?
