Hi Terry, I keep returning to your 'bowl-from-a-board' because I find it fascinating to say the least. However I am still a bit lost with your explanation of how you constructed it.
1. How did you cut the five 1/4 " thick boards from the original 2 1/8 " board. Big band saw ?
2. Why cut only 3 rings from each individual thinner board and not more? I must be missing a point somewhere.
Like you I am retired and find segmented woodturning absolutely fascinating and rewarding.
