Thanks Stuart for that. I will probably go with the satin finish. The vase I did last year for our contest was finished with a satin finish and the judges all commented positively on the finish. I think you will like the petal type bowl. It was fun just designing it in Segment Pro. I also went outside my comfort zone with the wood choices this time as well. I usually default to maple, cherry and walnut. I'm glad I tried the new ones as well. The Tulip Wood was very expensive here but on the flip side it is very nice to work with.
 
Row #15 is now on. That means 841 pieces done, 600 to go. And that is 10 more rings.
Rings 16-19 are all set to go the balance still need to be built.

Thanks Lloyd, getting close now. A couple more days should take me to the top. My thumb is pretty sore from sanding fuzzies from all those segments.
 
You sand any flat spots on your thumb yet. When I was finishing my last few pieces I had to be careful not to get blood on my pieces!!:eek:
 
Just doing the math this morning, At Row 18 that means 1021 pieces are now on the main body, 7 rings at 60 pieces per ring leaves 420 pieces to go.
