This is my latest bowl with segmented rings.I used Elm,walnut,pine,and oak.I call it Eclipse.IMG_1207.jpg
 
Very clever, Dovetail, and you execution was great. Be sure to upload it to the Gallery too as it will get more visibility there.
 
This is Eclipse II .I intended to do this with the first Eclipse but I grabbed the wrong drill bit and before I realized it, it was to late.

Nice job, Dovetail. It does make me think I'm looking at planets lined up and the grain of the wood gives them each their own personality.
