• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

export from woodturner pro to 3d design

I have been using graph paper for my designs for 10 years and wonder if there is a way to use woodturner pro to design and transfer it to 3d design to see what it looks like is 3d? Guess I am getting ? old and used to my ways as it just seems easier for me to do it this way rather than going from 3d to 2d.
Thanks for your help.

In Woodturner Pro click on File. One of the options is to export to 3D Designer Pro. I don't know if both need to be open but it won't hurt.

Gary,

The software was designed to go from 3D Design PRO to Woodturner PRO. It actually does allow you to go the other way but I will most likely remove that option because it will not give you the results you want.

WTP was written before the 3D libraries were as powerful as they are now but I don't expect to add it now, purely for cost reasons. It certainly would be nice to have but the pseudo 3D of WTP lets me keep the price where it has been since the software was written and it seems to be adequate.

I intend to only embark on a major upgrade like that when I can do it in a platform that will let me write a single code base and then compile it for either a PC or a Mac platform.
