I believe the issue is that at some time you deleted one or more files that the software thinks should be there. When this happens, the software acts like a 2-year-old. There is an easy fix.
Go to the Downloads page and click on the installer for Segment PRO. At the start of the installation, it will see that it is installing the same version that is installed and will give you a different page with three options. Click the option 'Repair' and the software will be in the condition it was when it was installed.
I have delete buttons on things that should not be deleted because I can't put them on just the items that you create. The best thing to do is to delete on things you create such as Plans, species, new palletes and new profiles. Don't delete any categories because that will delete everything in that category.
Once you do that, please report back as whether that solved the problem or not.
