Hi Chris.
You are correct that on the paint screen there is not an option to print the page. The simplest solution is to do a PrtScn (print screen). You can then paste the image into any graphic program or Word. From there you can print out the design layout.

Is this just a programming oversight or a technical thing that makes it difficult to program in that function?
Lloyd will have to answer this but based on some of his other response in other threads I would guess it is a technical thing.

Thank you I will try this out to see if it works if not old school it is.

Chris,

The control I use to create the grid does not support printing. PrtScr is a great solution because once you paste it into an image editor, you have the full power of the editor's print capabilities such as scale, rotation, centering and a host of other things. If the control did offer print capabilities, you would get none of these capabilities.

I use a free image editor called Irfanview (Title: IrfanView - Official Homepage - One of the Most Popular Viewers Worldwide). In addition to image editing, it has gives you extensive power when printing.

All:

Using Windows 10, with the "Paint" screen up, I press the Windows key along with Shift and "S". This brings up the screen snip page where you can produce a custom print of your screen. Neat feature that not everyone has discovered.

Thanks, Greg! I didn’t know that.
I always like learning something new early in the day. Now I can quit paying attention for the rest of the day.
