Has anyone bought any of these acustic guitar kits? How do they sound? Are they worth the money? Who make a good kit?

    Thx

I know nothing about them but my son is in the process of making a mandalin and electric guitar. Don't know if he has used a kit for any instrument he has made or making. He has made all the jigs himself as far as I know for cutting the forms etc.
    Good luck,
    John

I have a friend that built this Drednought Kit from Stewart McDonald. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Kits/Acoustic_Guitar_Kits/Dreadnought_Guitar_Kit.html
It sounds great and I think it is going to be the kit I'm going to buy, but I'll wait until we see if others have any experience with kits. It sells for $441 - $512, depending on options. He said it is a $500 kit that plays like a $2,000 guitar.

What style of music do you play?

Blues Creek Guitars offers some of the best kits around. I've built a half dozen of his guitars kits. Go to
