I hope that the segmented rim doesn't disqualify me. This is my first attempt at the simulated basket weave pattern on a wooden bowl. I used the Southwest pottery style as I think that it most suits the basket weave pattern

I like the asset weave and the design you selected. What type of join did you use between the solid wood and the segmented?

the solid wood is the simulated basket weave so the segmented rings are just glued onto the solid block of wood
