Christmas 2015 Quilt Pattern

The feature ring is based on a quilt my nephew's grandmother made for him. This is a gift for him and his partner. The main wood is African Mahogany, the feature ring is maple and walnut with Bloodwood dividers. You can see my never ending battle with veneer rings which I think has a negative overall impact.

hey stuart well done that is one sick vessel! love it, your choice of timber is excellent, The feature ring is great and looks very accurate from what i can see. I d have made the top rim off the bowl a bit thiner / more delicate that all.
