New Forum and Gallery

The old forum and gallery used software that is no longer maintained and this caused serious security issues. So creating a new website gave the perfect opportunity to incorporate a new forum and gallery. Much research was done to find a solution that was secure, easy-to-use and able to be localized in languages other than English. It was also necessary that it had the ability to import the existing Forum structure and data and photos and their comments. Fortunately, we were able to satisfy all of our requirements.

There is still much work to be done to improve the layout, navigation and look-and-feel, but that will be an ongoing process. Your suggestions on how to improve the Forum in these areas will be greatly appreciated.

PLEASE NOTE: The Store of the main site also has a user registration system. That system is completely separate from the Forum and so logging in to one does not give access to the other. It would be great if the two systems could share username/passwords, but it is simply not possible.

Thanks Martyn. I'm really excited to have a platform that is going to make it easy to add content and that the content is going to be easier to find. I'm also glad that the new forum/gallery has much stronger security and spam prevention. It amazes me just how fast the spam robots could find their way into the old site - even with super strong passwords that were constantly changed.
If you see anything that doesn't look right, please let me know.

Same for me, I only want to select new threads that I have not read and not all the ones going back days which I have read? Like the old site where you could select "New".

When logged in a red symbol on the left shows any new unread topics. When selected there is a small black dot on the left that takes you to the last unread post in the topic. If you are not logged in all show as red. The key is you must be logged in.
