"Forest"

10-1/4" diameter x 3" high. Wenge, maple, walnut, jatoba, khaya, and limba. 1964 pieces of wood. Each row has 96 segments, except for the rim and the base. Initial design and "painting" done with SegmentPro augmented by WoodturnerPro (for more control over wall thickness and rim design).
@Glenn McCarron: Yes, 1 degree. And I have posted some pictures and a description of the fixture I use, in the Open Segment forum.

The fun thing about using a lot of segments per row is that I can now think of making images of objects. My next one, which I am now designing, will have beavers, each one about to eat their own tree.
