Miter angle when using a wedgie sled

Hello. Love the software, but i'm using a wedgie sled. I'm not using wedgies, i just set my digital protractor to the angle and off I go. But i've noticed that the miter angle in the software needs to be doubled when using a wedgie sled ( otherwise you cut double the number of segments). i'm wondering if there's a checkbox that I've missed somewhere that tells the software this or could we add it? it's probably just as easy to double the number, but there's already so much to pay attention to, i would hate to miss one and ruin a ring.

At this time I don't know of any "check box' for accommodating the "wedgie sled.

While I am not an expert on wedgies, the math is a bit different. template angle = 360 / (# of sides).
Your correct in that the angle is exactly twice the desired cut angle...

Hopefully Lloyd will consider wedgie sled angle calculation in some future update. Or just remember to double the angle.

Good suggestion.

How do you guys think this changing of the angle affects the length of each segment? the steeper the angle, the longer the long-side segment length. I guess I could just test a calculated ring diameter, double the angle and see if the finished ring still meets the measurement. but i'm wondering how many of the calculated numbers I can actually trust.

I have not done much with a wedgie sled. The majority of the time I cut my segments using incra miter express.
The angle should not affect the SL when establishing the stop block. Just remember the measurement is along the miter angle and not 90 degrees to the blade.
