Relation between open segment and the mitrr angle

What is the relation between the open segment angle shown in the project properties and the miter angle in the calculation sheet. For exemple with a 2 degrees open segment for 48 segments the miter angle is 2,68 degrees. Where can I see the 2 degrees ?
