• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

I managed to jerry rig my table saw and hopefully it keeps me going until new parts come.So I have been busy.I started this piece on 3D design pro, learning how to do use the program.Lloyds tutorials are such a great help. Then I went to woodturner pro to work it out.I just did something simple, so I could learn to use the program. Then to the work shop to build rings and finally turned it today. It worked out pretty close to what I started with ,I changed the top a bit on the fly.

Dovetail, did you need to glue up in half rings or did you get your segments straight off seg easy sled? I have not been able to get such an exact offset pattern as yours.

Thanks martyn.I cut and glued the rings in one afternoon ,then flattened them on our vice set up the next day,but glued them together over a few days and after every 3 I turned them in the ruff shape on the outside and to finish on the inside while I am able to reach the inside easier, then add another 3 rings and repeat, works for me.I finished this one with tung oil.
How are you doing with your wedges ,are you making something?

Using the seg easy sled ,my rings have been coming out perfectly and no need to do half rings.Remember to flip every second segment in the ring. When I glue each ring to another I like to make sure they don't move when clamping, by hot gluing a small piece of wood at 4 or so points around the sides so nothing moves while I clamp it together .

hi rob my wedgies and easy sled are ace although i haven't done any thing interesting as I've been busy fixing stuff at home, i am currently working on a chinchilla sand bath at the minute, its 350 mm in diameter and I've constructed 8 rings, one to test each wedgie template and they all turn out spot on. I am currently in the process of gluing that one up it is not very pleasant in garage, very cold and damp. i might give tung oil a go do you get a good shine with it
