Hello. I'm Elizabeth from South Carolina and I make boxes. Flat and square is my current comfort zone. Have not had much practice on the lathe but hope to achieve a modicum of skill with that machine to enable me to make uniform round pieces for parts in my flatwork.

I would also like to make round boxes with designs. My limited experience with the lathe has taught me that it's not just about sharp tools, depth and direction of cut, but a sensitive, intuitive movement of the body. To date, I have not been able to true a blank. ;)

I like working with laminates in my flatwork. Was directed to this site, and programs, by Incra. I've downloaded the trial version of Laminate 3 and I'm hooked. Have some questions prior to purchase.:)

Hi Elizabeth: Welcome ............. I've been a member about a year. find this sight very helpful. Also usually any question you might have gets an answer rsther quickly.
