I had trouble with my original post because I tried embedding a hyperlink to my website "markswoodchips dot com" which I won't attempt anymore. Lloyd was very patient and helpful as we tried to solve the problem of why my text was disappearing. So, greetings to all fellow woodturners from Hubertus, Wisconsin, about 15 miles northwest of Milwaukee. Someday I hope to be able to make some of the beautiful turnings and laminations that I see posted here. I'm a novice turner by your standards, having recently progressed beyond the stage of fearing killing myself at the lathe. I'm recently retired and now spend most of my time in my wood shop doing home remodeling projects that were neglected while I was working.

I'm looking forward to participating in the forum and maybe post a few pictures of items not destined to become firewood.
