Hello everybody. Very glad I found this forum and the entire suite of WoodturnerPro software. I am very new to turning but ever since I turned my first simple bowl, I am totally hooked. I use carbide tools only - it eliminated the entire sharpening issue and I found the carbide tools easy to use. Lately I started with segmented turning and love the creative possibilities. SegmentPro has been a huge help in coming up with designs and the resulting measurements to construct the rings.

I live in Carefree, Arizona - therefore my forum name.

Good to see another Arizona turner join. I also live in Arizona (west side of the valley).

I share your experience that carbide tools are easier to learn to use than the traditional turning tools. Both have their place.

Ask your questions about the software, building a segment vessel and turning you may have. Share your experiences. imo, segmenting and turning is a continual learning process.
