My name is Randy Panos from Nevada City, CA. I have been woodturning for 10 years but have never had a chance to do segmenting. I recently took an intro class from Foothill Turners and thoroughly enjoyed the experience so I have put down my $79 and bought the software.
 
Welcome to the Forum.
I have been using the software for years. The software makes designing a segmented vessel a breeze.
Take the time to watch the tutorial videos. They are a great help.

Not sure which sofware you purchased. Segment Pro or WoodTurner Pro. Both are $79.
Things to keep in mind
- WTP is the older software but gives you complete control of each ring.
- SP is the newer software and is rules based. It limits what you can do with each ring. Has an excellent paint feature.
- One cannot import WTP into SP or SP into WTP.

Have fun learning the software. Ask questions you might have. Someone will try to help you.

Purchased the WTP software as that is what my intro class recommended. I'm looking forward to using it especially the feature that allows me to import pictures or shapes of projects that I find interesting.
