Hi My name is Dave and I am an avid woodturner. My specialty is actually in pen turning and casting resins for other turned objects. My next obsession is going to be adding the casting materials to segmented turnings. Here is a recent photo of what I have been doing and I want to change the process towards segmenting.

For clarification....The cast portion in this bowl is shredded Canadian currency which was purchased from the Bank of Canada. The clear casting resin is a product called Alumilite.

Hi Murray,

Yes, I frequent the forum often. I have not seen you around in a while though.

All the money is shredded bills sent back to the Bank of Canada for disposal.
