  One thing to keep in mind is grain orientation. It isn’t the law, but it is a good idea to keep the grain in the same orientation on all pieces of wood.   Thank you Lloyd. I stumbled upon this exact design in the paint section of SP. Things can change dramatically by just changing the palette choices. From there I just filled in any blank segments.

  Thank you Lloyd! It doesn't line up perfectly and at first I questioned the size of the vertical pieces and wood choices. It is growing on me.
