Hello! I'm excited to have found ya'll! I've always loved woodturning and have recently discovered segmented turning where I fell completely in love with the concept of creating something with designs and different colors on the lathe. I'm learning how to use Segment Pro and hope to post my first design very soon!

Welcome to the WTP forum.
SP is a great software. Keep in mind it is rules based. Being that it simplifies many tasks but limits some things you can do. When you want full control of the design WTP is the way to go.

Ask your questions. Share your experiences and have fun.

Thank you! That's good to know, I got the SegPro and WT software and just last night I thought what am I going to use WT for... you answered my question!

Bonjour, je suis Français et j'habite en Bretagne , je suis content d'avoir découvert votre forum, j,ai pris le temps de regarder différents tuto et je reconnais que c'est du tournage de PRO. Je réalise moi même du segmenté ajouré , j'adore ca, je veux surtout apprendre le lamination .

There are times I will design a vessel in SP. SP has a great paint feature for designs. Taking the summary from SP, you can quickly build the vessel in WTP and do whatever changes to row dimensions. etc.

Lloyd's software has really help advance the art of segmenting.
