Multi layered bowl

Saw this style of bowl and thought I would give it a try. Made with 3 thicknesses of wedges in each ring. 460 total pieces. Made from reclaimed pallet wood.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing.

- Have not seen many segment vessels that does not off set each ring to form a brick pattern.
Not sure the long turn stability of the vessel with all the rings lined up with no half overlap.

From reading up on the glue tests posted about recently the end grain glueups should do just fine, the shape of the piece will define how easy the joint breaks and a ring is pretty stable.

Saw the same glue up info. The pic I saw of a bowl like this was done the same way so I was not overly concerned.
