Hello from France; i am 47 and turn wood since 4 or 5 years now, thanks to youtube and marvelous people who share their techniques in high quality vidéos (Hello to Marc Dubuc from Canada, if you are here). I have done maybe 20 things in segmented wood using rings and i just went to discover the "bowl from board" technique on this forum; my first try is not that bad...

Yes! very useful and funny. I' ve made my first disc today, but unfortunately, i think i don't cut in the right direction, so i have the opposite of what was expected ^^
it looks like a kind of cross now, why not...
