    Thanks Lloyd. I guess I was confusing myself more than anything. With the height set to 3" I was not seeing the complete 1st generation image and could not visualize the cut of the pieces to achieve what I was seeing.     Thanks but what I am trying to do is create a flat disk which I will add a ring in woodturner pro like a frame prior to turning. I did figure out how to find the diameter of the disk in Laminationpro but can not figure out how to cut the segments. I posted another thread for that. Steve

    Vertical spacer?

    Thanks Lloyd and Martyn. Now the vertical spacer makes sense. I did by the Stomper system from you and have used it for my first ever bowls. First was a closed segment and the second I am just finishing the open segment bowl. Definately making mistakes and learning but nothing has blown up yet.

    I am working on my first open segment bowl. Just finished a small closed segment, my very first bowl. I see in Woodturner pro that when I add a open segment it adds a "Vertical Spacer". What is it and what am I supposed to do. New to forum and looking forward to future projects. Steve
