• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

test upload - please ignore.
Dizzy Inside - 880K
Christmas.jpg - 450K

Certainly puzzling and I'm having difficulty in getting the host to say why this is happening.

Yay! I think it was the Flash Uploader. It probably worked well on the prior host but not on the new host. I don't like anything having to do with Flash anymore. Neither do most network administrators and now we can see why.

I had a problem uploading today but it was solved by reducing the file size to less than 100kb.
Hmmm. That should not have been necessary. The uploaded file should be less than 100k but I have it set to allow much larger files and that all seems to be working fine after the changes I made a few days ago. It may have been an issue with image.

I've never had a problem uploading a large .jpg before. This time was with the same camera and the same software I use for editing and exporting photos.

It might have just been a transient network issue. Can you try it again for me? If it goes, just delete it. If it doesn't go, let me know the time you tried and if there were any messages. I'll check the logs to see if and errors were reported.

Sorry I didn't get to this until this morning. I tried the same .jpg this morning at 0619 and it did not take it. Size is 857 mb. My photos are put into OS X Photo, edited, and then exported as a .jpg so they end up being less than full size. I've always done it this way and had no problems. My previous bowl that I posted a couple of months ago was done in exactly the same way with the same camera and software. Hope this helps.

Thanks for this explanation. It explains what you're doing, but it raises new questions. I'll have to experiment with it myself. If it's a valid jpg of less than 2MB, it should upload just fine so I'll look into it to see why it isn't.

On the other hand, if you are saving the image to upload, it should never be more than 100K because anything larger is simply going to be scaled down. I allow an upload of 2MB and I've tested it up to that amount, but for comparison, Woodturner's Resource has a maximum file size of 75K.
