• Having problems with video with Segment PRO on a new PC? You could be experiencing one (or both) of two problems. First, if you have an ultra high-resolution screen, the recommended settings might be higher than 1920 x 1080 with a scale factor of more than 100% and the user interfaces for all software written in c# will NOT be correct. Simply change the resolution and scaling to 1920 x 1080 and scale to 100%. Second, if you have a wonky Bowl View, you have an Intel Iris graphics solution and there are serious problems with it. Solution - go to the Drivers page at Intel's website and install their latest driver for your computer. This will fix it. Link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html

Great video I am really glad I watched it before I got way too deep in creating laminations and trying to fit them into my segmented vessels. Now I feel like I can really get what I want out of both software packages. Thank you for a great job on the videos.

I watched your other tutorial on this subject and was kind of lost. However this one answered all the questions I had from the first tutorial. Now I am ready to give some of the Southwest designs a try. All I have to do is find the time.

I have watched too many videos I think! Ithought you could do the same i SP as you are showing i WP. Now I understand you need both WP and SP when you work along a project. Right?

You never need both WP and SP because they have almost nothing in common other than they both design segmented vessels. You can use Lamination PRO with either one, though, although there is a slight difference. You create your design in Lamination PRO and then transfer it into SP by Exporting it as a file and saving that file into the Species folder of SP which is located at ...documents\My Segment Pro\Species.

For WP you create the design and click the Export to Woodturner PRO button which transfers the image as a species directly into the currently selected row of WP.

WP and SP were written 17 years apart in different languages and the way it was done in WP is cumbersome and so I changed it for SP.

I hope that helps, but please let me know if any of this is not clear.

If you are wanting to print the paint (view) window. You can use the print screen (PrtScn) key. This copies the window view into the clip board. From there you can bring it into a word processing program or graphic program by hitting ctrl v. That will paste the image into the word or graphic program.

Aguinaldo,
I want to make sure that you have clicked the 'Ring View' tab which is next to the Summary Tab. This will create a PDF file for you that has a single page for each row and shows you a wheel that has a spoke for every segment painted with the correct species. This will assist you in laying out the segments.
