• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Lamination PRO v3.2 BETA now online

Hi Lloyd, hope your vacation went well. I'm finally able to get back to some planning and hopefully back to the shop in the next month or so. I have a niece that is looking for a "Tock Board" like I had posted a while back. I did upgrade my Lamination Pro a bit ago but have not used it much. Finally today I started looking at designing a new but different board. I see that you eliminated the ability to add or remove a desired strip. This was a function that I really liked as it allowed me to randomly alter my piece and have instant results. Now by selecting the number of strips I go back to a default and have to redo all my strips and sizes. Am I missing something or is this how it has to be? That function was the best for me.

Glenn,
The newest version of Lamination PRO was done so that I could keep my sanity. As I've added more features to Lamination PRO over the years, the code got more and more complex. It got to the point that I couldn't make a change without breaking things in other locations of the code. It was necessary to change the architecture to reduce the complexity and to do this, it is necessary to get everything back to basics while maintaining as much functionality as possible. One of the worst places in the code was the Laminate Wizard but this would only be evident if you look at what the code has to do behind the scenes. Removing the Add/Delete Strip functions allowed me to streamline the code in a number of different areas.

The good news is that now that I have done that, it will be possible to add it back in a way that shouldn't compromise the code as it did before. I'll see if I can make some time in the next week or so to add it back.

Lloyd

Thanks for the reply Lloyd. I don't profess to know anything about the code as I'm sure it is complicated. I admire your ability to transform it into such a great program. I look forward to gaining the function back.

Hi Glenn, You finally able to get back to turning after your sugery?
Hi Stuart, be a bit yet for shop work. The more time i spend on the foot the more pain I get so I have to limit it to whats required for now and continue with the physiotherapy. Should get some shorter shop sessions soon though.
