• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Glue on the stomper

This might be a foolish question but it won't be my first. After using the stomper for a while glue starts building up on the acrylic longworth. Is there any reason the chuck plates can't be run through the dishwasher?

I can't answer the question regarding the dishwasher. My experience with the stomper is the ring only needs to pressed for 15-20 minutes.. I check for any excessive glue and use a damp rag to wipe clean. Any harden wood glue seems to pop off using a utility knife. Of course being careful to to scratch or cut the longworth chuck.

Stuart,

The plates are polycarbonate and, unfortunately, the heat and detergent of dishwashers will cloud them and make them brittle. You can hand wash them, though, and they will clean up nicely. Whatever you do, don't use acetone. A friend of mine did this more than once and etched the disks each time. My friend is not very smart, I'm afraid. :-o

It's a bit late for you, but I left the protective paper on the acrylic. Seems to work fine. As was said I usually leave the piece in the press a short time and wipe the paper off as soon as I remove the piece. I've been know to put down wax paper as well sometimes.
