Changing the size of an existing profile

Every time I choose and existing profile or add one by importing a photo etc, SP creates it with a certain size (height / diameter). When I go to adjust either one the shape gets distorted instead of just creating the shape at the size I want. I then have to go back and forth with diameter / height to get what I want.
Example: I love a certain shape but want it taller. I adjust height but then it does not look the same. I then have to make the diameter bigger but then the height adjusts on its own.

Is this the way the software works or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Hi Jim:
I have not experienced the shape being distorted when just changing the height of the vessel. SP does recalculate the number of rows based on the new height of the vessel.

Changing the diameter widens the vessel while keeping the profile the same. To me it does make the vessel look different while the profile is the same. The base is just wider.

Hopefully Lloyd will respond more than I can.

imo, you are not doing anything wrong.
