I'm fascinated by segmented turning. I see a lot of folks from places that have forests, and we have them here too but mostly in the North. So, I like the idea of being able to turn something without most of the material winding up on the floor.

Lloyd's software makes the planning for a segmented vessel easy for it does the math for you.
Take a look at the tutorials. You will see that WoodTurner Pro gives you the most control over each ring. Segment Pro being more rules based limits what you can do with each ring, but makes planning a breeze.
