• Having problems with video with Segment PRO on a new PC? You could be experiencing one (or both) of two problems. First, if you have an ultra high-resolution screen, the recommended settings might be higher than 1920 x 1080 with a scale factor of more than 100% and the user interfaces for all software written in c# will NOT be correct. Simply change the resolution and scaling to 1920 x 1080 and scale to 100%. Second, if you have a wonky Bowl View, you have an Intel Iris graphics solution and there are serious problems with it. Solution - go to the Drivers page at Intel's website and install their latest driver for your computer. This will fix it. Link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html

Hello everyone, I just purchased the sofware suite after fiddling with the trial version for a week or so. I have made a couple of segmented turnings using the graph paper but I think this suite will be far easier. I took up woodturning when I retired 5 years ago and find it fascinating and when I saw segmented turning I was even more hooked. Looking forward to what I can do once my new sled is built. I believe you will find the software easy to learn and much better than graph paper. That at least was my experience.

WTP is the older of the planning software. It gives full control over each ring.
SP is the newer software and is "rules" based. As such in its current form it limits what you can do with some rings, SP does have a great paint feature for designs.

Enjoy the software. Ask questions you may have and there are those here to help.
