• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

My LamPro Failure

Not sure what I did wrong.

Followed LamPro directions and wound up with a diamond alignment that was perfect on the first two (on left), center two the lower section was shorter than the top, the next one to the right lined up on 3 points, and looks like the last half one started lining up correctly.

Also, to make them lineup as best I could, the vertical seam is slightly to the right, but lined up perfectly at the end of the right side? The only thing I was aware of during the build was that in order to get the the first gen chevrons to line up at the points, the points at the outer edge of the laminate were no longer even. These uneven points is what I put against the fence on my table saw. Not sure if that had something to do with the combinations of problems I ended up with.

Discouraged at this point, as I’ve ruined many hours of lam work with some rather expensive exotic woods.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thx,

This is the video I followed using the SW design to construct diamond. Any other info or suggestions appreciated.
Thx,

When you built your diamond did you use the slide method or the southwest method in LP?

Looking at your top photo (wood standing on edge) it looks like the cut was not uniform.
When I have made diamonds I just glue the two repeating units together to make the patter/segment. I do not glue them all into a long board. That is needed if you are making multiple gen cuts.

When I first got started I used some scrap wood and practiced in making diamonds and getting the hang of the cutting up of the lamination blank.

I will give the one pattern at a time a try. I tend to agree that long cuts on the table saw probably caused most of the problem.
Thx for your advice,
Dan
