• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Cutting small parts

Ive seen mention of not wanting to cut parts so short your fingers are too close to the blade. Ted Baldwin demonstrated a technique at a Gwinnett Woodworkers meeting that allows doing just that safely with your fingers well away from the blade. Maybe this can be adapted for segment creation.

Thanks for posting. It is a good safety vid. Much of what he does can be used for cutting segments.
I pretty much have gone to the segeasy sled or incra miter express on a table saw for cutting segments.

Taking a shot on an old thread. Do any of you know the name of the tape that Ted Baldwin mentioned? Leaves zero residue, got to have some of that.

He didn't mention a brand. He just stated it was two sided (double sided) masking tape. Not carpet tape.
Uline is one company that makes two sided masking tape.

Thanks for replying, I'm interested in the no residue part. Would you know a brand or source that leaves no residue?

Can't make a recommendation. I have used masking tape to hold pieces together. Never worried about residue. Sanding before finishing takes the concern away. Also the light sanding in flattening the rings would remove any residue.
