I enjoy both flat work and turning. While this chair is flat work the pins that hold the back on and the ones used to adjust the back are turned. The wood is Cherry and took at least 3 times as long to build as it should have.

Having problems with video with Segment PRO on a new PC? You could be experiencing one (or both) of two problems. First, if you have an ultra high-resolution screen, the recommended settings might be higher than 1920 x 1080 with a scale factor of more than 100% and the user interfaces for all software written in c# will NOT be correct. Simply change the resolution and scaling to 1920 x 1080 and scale to 100%. Second, if you have a wonky Bowl View, you have an Intel Iris graphics solution and there are serious problems with it. Solution - go to the Drivers page at Intel's website and install their latest driver for your computer. This will fix it. Link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download-center/home.html

I'd been in a big hurry to get that project done so I could relax in it! Great looking project Stuart. I'm currently doing metal work, actually refinishing Tonka trucks for our first grandson.
For one thing if I don't get a move on it I won't have my Christmas 2016 gifts done in time to not be 2 years behind.
I know what you mean. I have a couple of bowls that are now finished I need to mail off to a cousin. I am about 1 1/2 year behind in getting the fruit bowls to them.

Frank, if you have the interest I suggest the plans on Title: Products – The Wood Whisperer Guild . The plans cost $100 but you get a very good set of documents and around 5 hours of instructions. The instructions show how to build and use forms for the arms, back and so forth. Once you buy one set of plans you become a member for life. This give a very good Facebook access plus a monthly live chat session.
