I have been woodturning since 1946, when I began a patternmaking apprenticeship. So making segments is not new to me. I became a schoolteacher when work for patternmakers became scarce. When I retired I built a couple of houses and became the Spare Parts person for Borgward cars. But woodturning beckened, so that is my major interest now. I live in Croydon, Australia.
