Nutcracker for Sister Rita

This was a Christmas present for my sister, Rita, who lost her battle with cancer. It is now on my desk and as I look at it, I think of her and the 59 Christmases that she spent bringing joy to everyone she met. I made it using the plans in the December 1990 edition of Fine Woodworking. It's about 16" tall, including the laser-engraved base.
