This was my second segmented item made about 2 years ago. It was made from Ironwood with a centre feature ring of Cape Beech with African Padauk inserts and Purple Heart borders. The top and bottom feature rings are Yellowwood and Purple Heart. The vase stands 160mm high and is 230mm in diameter.

Nice number two Dereck; your joinery and alignment looks superb! I am curious what it would look like without the foot; just turned straight down. Form is important; take a look at Pete Marken's work, his form is to die for!!
