Are you still online? I can't open the tutorial for segmented pro. It brings me to woodturner pro forums but there are no forums.
where are all of the video tutorials?
Look under video tutorials / software.
If you have questions regarding the software, please ask questions in the other forums.
Hi Mike,
Heading for Mesa early Wednesday morning will be there Friday afternoon.
We are planning on being there for about 6 months, hope to see you this trip down.
Hi Bob.
We will have to keep in touch. Right now the shop is open but no guests. Covid protocols are still in place. I have not been in the shop since the shop closed. Still keeping isolated.

About the same here. We arrived on Friday at about 5:00 PM. Have not seen anyone at our woodshop yet. No guests allowed here either
Hi segmented wood turners, This is my first segmented vase and I need some help on inside bowl turning. I read few of the comments on turning inside of the bowl. I used carbide type tool and fingernail gouge. The way it caches scares the hell out of me. No flying vase since I am not using jaw. I am grateful of any help, thanks-Habib
My first thought is how are you presenting the tool to the wood? It should be flat and at center or slightly above, never below center. My next question is how far over the tool rest is the tool hanging? Light cuts are your friend.
I am a member of the Mandurah Group and a member of the Segmenters Mob, which is a sub group made up of members from all of the groups in Western Australia under the overarching agency called the West Australian Woodturners Association (WAWA). We have regular demonstrations on all the softwares available but are really getting stuck into Segment Pro, helping all those who are new to our craft.

I think it was about 12 inches. I no longer have that piece in my possession.
Got my validation code today..... now where to start???
looking for tutorials on how to use the programs
Check out the Tutorial section. Some good videos.
Also you can do a Search for WTP or SP vids.
Just updated Lamination pro and Woodturner pro also Installed segment pro. I have got to say I’m pretty excited to get going on designing new segmented projects. Being on lockdown for COVID 19 I have a lot of time to learn these softwares. I don’t think I will get bored.
I don't know why anyone would want to try to duplicate the overly-complicated accu-wedge bandsaw jig.

Just make a two-fence sled that is similar to what Jerry Bennett shows on his segmentology videos. The zero-clearance fence" that attaches to the table saw insert will have to be integral with the band saw sled version. You will need to make or buy some angle plates to set your fence angle precisely.
Hi John
I do not get around much my wife does the driving since the bombing due to meds and brain damage. I was going to ask Ed if he would donate some pen kits and other turning stuff like S&P shakers and key chains but forgot. When I have any funds left over I buy what I can since I supply them with everything.

Hope we can be friends.

My email is
I noticed the title under my avatar still says 'New Member' eveb though I joined in early 2018. I was curious about what I have to do to qualify for an upgraded title. 'Green Apprentice", perhaps. :) It's not a big thing but I was curious.

Hi Ken,

Changing the Membership to PRO Member is something I do manually. When a purchase is made, look for an account and then upgrade it. On yours, it appears that since your wife made the purchase and it had her name and email address on it, I made an account for her. I have now deleted it and have upgraded the account you made.
Arlin this was a solid Oak bowl that I turned and it warped very badly so I then cut it up into segments and produced this bowl so I dont really know the angle of the stays. Hope this is of some help to you

I could use any and all help and advise on making a board vase. My email is Pictures and good explanation really helps me and the vets a lot. Besides the broken body I also have brain damage from the bombing in the middle east so it takes awhile for things to sink in and like I said pictures or play by play or even video are a great help.

Thanks buddy

Hello Arlin. I will review my thread over the next few days and see if there is anything else I could add. I know I do not have any video. If there are specific questions you have please don't hesitate to ask. I also just got home from spending a week in the hospital and will still be under treatment for the next few weeks for an abscess in the lower bowel. Glenn
Hi Bob.
Things are still shut down in SCW. The Rec Center is staring to ask clubs how they would reopen if given permission to do so. The Rec Center has said that the reopening would start with the outside activities. We have avoided the virus so far. Feb. sound good to meet.
Hi Mike, any better down there? We are back home in Wisconsin and through our quarantine period. I hope all is well down there. We'll have to hook up in Feb. when we come back down. If we are all alive!!
New to woodturner. Of the 4 apps, what is the order that you would use to build a turning? I will start with the tutorials then in order.
Hi Ronald
Lamination Pro is an app for building designs for featured rings or bottoms. It is not necessary to build a turning.
That said. In using WTP you should use 3D design first to come up with a profile. Then import to WTP to build your vessel and cut list. WTP gives the most control of the rings compared to SP.
You will get more responses if you start a new thread in the proper forums.
