• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Spacer in Feature ring

When you put a spacer in the feature ring in the bowl settings window you select "feature ring" and then set the "Spacer width" . How can you select the species you require for the spacer or does it default to a particular species. It would be nice to be able to select species either in Storyboard or on the bowl setting window.

Lloyd will correct me if I am wrong, but it seems the color of the spacers is tied to the accent rings that goes on top/bottom of the featured ring. Doing some testing it is number 7 in the color palate.
I found no separate input for just the color of the spacers.

SP does thing different than WTP. In some areas we don't have as much control, in other we have more.

Bob, I agree completely. I've struggled with coming up with the best way to do this. in a large percentage of the time, spacers will be placed on the default rows and the Storyboard doesn't show default rows so that isn't perfect. Placing the control to select a species on the Bowl Settings both takes up valuable space and the species in the palette are not shown so that's really not a good option either. I've also thought about using whatever species is in Species Index #3 similar to what is done for the bottom disk, for example. I'd really prefer not to do this, though.

My thought is that I'm going to build a custom control that will make a dropdown list of the species in the current palette that will have both the name of the species and a graphic of the species and then use that at each place where species are selected by an index. Then it could be placed on the Bowl Settings where it makes the most sense.

The custom control is going to have to wait until I return from an East Coast Trip I'm taking next week, though.

Mike,
You are correct in how this works now. It just needs to have a better solution than is there now and I'll come up with a better solution. I'm just finishing on a complete new set of video tutorials for SegPro and hope to have them done today.

Thanks Lloyd, enjoy your trip you need one after all the work you have done. After making the post I played around with it and found the same as Mike that it defaulted to No.7 which ever palate you are using. It just means until we have your solution at a later date all we need to do is easily change the species in No.7 to get what you want.
