• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Issue With Settings in SP

cnsranch

Jerry Prinds
Made a design in SP with a Feature Ring designed in LP. Save it, open it at a later date, go to Story Board, and the setting for the Feature Ring's Accent Rows are changed to 6" from the settings I gave it. Wassup with that?

LamPRO simply makes a jpeg that gets added to the species folder of SegPro and that has nothing to do with any measurement fields so I have no clue where this is coming from. Can you try it again and see if you can duplicate it? I have done this extensively and have not seen this. I don't doubt that it happened, but I cannot replicate it and if you can, it would help me greatly.

Attached is a screenshot of the opening window, and one of the storyboard.....notice the Feature Ring's Accent Ring Settings vs the image.

Yes, I see it, but cannot duplicate it. Can you retrace your steps and let me know exactly when it happens? Are you doing any other functions at the time such as Save Plan? There are a number of things that cause the values of the fields to be changed or re-read and you'll save me a bunch of time if we can isolate when it is happening.

Here's what I've just done (with jpegs attached)
1. Open project
2. Go to Storyboard - jpeg looks right, but setting is wrong.
3. One click on thickness to get it down to .25" - now image changes.
3. Correct the thickness to .25", return to Bowl, and Save Plan. Click on "Yes to Overwrite This Plan, then Save.
4. Re-open plan, go to Storyboard, and the settings have changed to the 6".

Could I have some basic settings in my computer that's goofing me up?

Lloyd.....what's the path to my saved SP plan. I can attach a copy of it here, and if you open it and don't see the problem it's got to be on my end. I would guess that I'd then have to uninstall then reinstall the program?

You can export the plans.
Top menu, Share / Export
The plans are now copied to your Segment PRO directory

what's the path to my saved SP plan
One of the features of Segment PRO is that all Plans and Profiles are saved in an internal database. Through the years, a common problem ALL users (including me) have had is remembering where they saved files. With this software it is saved for you and you don't ever have to remember what you did.

As Bob said, if you need a copy of it, simply open that Plan or Profile and go Share > Export and you'll get a copy of it. It is even mostly human readable (embedded images are not readable), although it won't make a lot of sense to read the file.

If you'd like to give it a try, open that file and go Share > Export and then email me the file ending in .json that is placed in your 'Documents > My Segment PRO' folder.
