• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.
  • Due to a scam attack, the gallery is temporarily turned off. I am working to get this fixed but I have some other things that are higher prioriity. I do hope to have it back soon and there shouldn't be any changes to the content. At least, that is the hope.

Your best bet is to ask your question in one of the forums that fits best to what your wanting info on. That way all participants to the forum can give their two cents worth.

As Bob stated. Segmented bowl building/turning is addictive.

I did not receive an email from you and it's hard to say why that is the case, although, I get a fairly steady stream of them so it appears to be working. Nevertheless, you can either try again or, as you have seen, posting your question here will get you answers right away. The good thing about asking the question on the forum is that if you have a question, a lot of others have the same question and so helping you here helps a lot of other people that may not post the question themselves.

Anyway, we're glad you're here and look forward to helping in any way we can.

Hi Pete, try the free download copies and I'm sure you will purchase the package. I think you get Seg Pro as a free add on but check with Lloyd to see if that is still the case. Welcome to the group and ask questions when needed.

You can down load and try both programs, they have a 30 day trial. Woodturner Pro is the more mature program, where Segment Pro is brand new and still in development, mostly aimed at the new segmenter. The user face is much simpler and easy to use. Woodturner PRO is the I can do anything program. If you haven't download one and give them a try. If you have questions there a lot of help here on the forum.
 
imo, WTP and SegPro have two different objectives. WTP (suite 3ddesign, lamination pro and wtp) is for those who want more control over the design of the bowl. SegPro while very powerful designer, is for those who want to have a designed bowl in few clicks of a mouse.

As suggested, you can down load both programs and try them for 30 days. I would suggest downloading one of the programs first to get the feel of the program. Then in a few days, download the other and start comparing. WTP is what Lloyd put out first. SegPro is his new program.

I like both. I feel each has a place for those of us who design and turn. I plan to use both.

It's on the calendar. My wife and I are making our first trip to New Zealand in May, landing in Christchurch around May 15th and in Auckland about May 21st. Can you tell me again where you live? I hope that it will be possible to get together while we're there.
