• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

I was trying to print the ring profile along with the specifications below it, the problem I am having is shrinking it to fit on a standard sheet of paper. I get 2/3rds of the ring and the first line of the dimensions.

( WTP prints the exact size of the ring. ) You could do a screen capture and paste the image in a word processing program to resize)
If your wanting a cut list, use the cutting summary view. It gives you all the information you need for each ring.

From the help section of WTP
The Ring View is a very useful view which shows you exactly what the ring should look like after all segments have been glued together. It also is a to-size view, meaning that if you print it out, the ring you cut and glue should be able to be laid on the drawing for verifying accuracy. The Ring View also displays a box containing all input and calculations for that row. It even has calculations that are not found in the Calculations window due to size constraints. The Ring View will even show rings containing open segments or vertical spacers correctly.

The center circle and square on the Ring View are printed in a size that you set in the File | Options box. If you are using a centering jig, you should size this so that when you cut either the circle of the square, the printed Ring View will fit the centering jig. For more information regarding the centering jig for which this feature was added, please visit our web site at http://www.woodturnerpro.com.

I have some bad news and some good news regarding printing. As Mike said, the printing of the Ring View is real size. At one time, I tiled the printout so that it would print on multiple pages. The worked great as long as you used name brand printers (hp, brother, etc.), but since 15% of my customers are international and using printers I've never heard of, the printing wouldn't work at all. To fix this, I switched to using a Standard Microsoft solution where it is no longer necessary for me to know anything about the printer and the Microsoft Print System handles it all for me. The pages print perfectly anywhere in the world. The bad news is that it doesn't support tiling the print to multiple pages.

The good news is that I'm well underway with a completely new segmenting software solution written in the newest and most powerful 3D programming language and a completely new way to interface with printers. I'm making good headway on the software but I have a LONG way to go. The new product will be a completely new approach to segmenting software but this much I can promise you - it will blow you away. For example, it will take just a few keystrokes to generate the following vessel:

I have tried using the print screen button on my computer but it doesn't do anything when in your program. I have also gone to the file and then hit copy and then printed that, that just gave me the same results, since it isn't something that I really need I won't waste any more time on it. Lloyd the new programing you are working on sounds great. Thanks for the information. Doug

The Prt Scr works simply captures whatever is on your screen and copies it to your clipboard. From there, you have to paste it to a program capable of displaying graphics such as Windows Paint.

My graphics program of choice is the free program Irfanview. (Http://Irfanview.com). It makes cropping, resizing and other actions a snap. There is a bit of a learning curve as there is with all software. But for what you're trying to do, just tap the PrtScr button, switch to Irfanview and go Ctrl-v to paste the clipboard contents. Then draw a marquee around the part you want to keep and go Edit > Crop. You can then print it as you like.

If you really don't need to mod the image, it can be pasted into Word. From there it can be resized to fit the paper.

Thanks Lloyd that solved the problem, I was not aware of how that worked. I have been trying to watch all of the videos on how Woodturner Pro works and have been learning some interesting things. Thanks for your support. Doug
