• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

When logging in each screen still shows log in. Yet when I go to forum it shows I am logged in. Can the Log In be changed once logged in to log out or some way indicate you are logged in?

There should now be a widget in the right column called "Members Online Now" and it will show if you are logged in or not. This was perhaps not showing before, but it should be there now. Is this what you're after?

Sort of, I like how you now show the names of those logged in. What I meant was on the home and other pages it shows login even though you are presently logged in. Right now my name shows on the forum page but if I select home it says login. Actually it is now showing [NUMO.ACCOUNTS: TOP LOGIN BOX]

The Forum and Gallery are completely separate from the static pages. The static pages also have login capabilities, but that is for the Storefront and Blogs only. The static pages and the forum/gallery use separate databases and so one knows nothing about the other. Several years ago, I switched to vBulletin because they had both a forum/gallery and the ability to create static pages for the front end. But the forum was great and their static page solution was abysmal which is what precipitated the move away from it.

At least for now, though, I believe I'll remove the store login. The store allows you to check out as a guest and I think I'll stick with that. What this means, though, is that if we use the blog feature, it wouldn't be possible to leave comments as that requires you to login. I think we can be just as happy using the Forum's approach to blogging, though, so for now, I'll just remove the login because it will raise the same question to everyone that visits.

This does mean, though, that if you are on any of the static pages, you may or may not be logged in to the forum, but you will only know that when you go to the forum.

This has been a problem ever since forums started getting added to websites. You have to remember your username and password for the forum and a different username and password for other areas of the website. There really isn't a great option unless you use a fully integrated system from a single company that writes all the software as a single package. I have not found that company unless you are willing to pay five (or six) figures for it.

For now, I'll just remove the things that can become confusing.

Got it. Thanks. The [NUMO.ACCOUNTS: TOP LOGIN BOX] is still showing on the home page after you select log in. Plus there is some weird wording in the login spot on the blog link.

Would you rather I take these type of comments offline and possibly add some confusion on the forum?

No, please post your comments here so that others will know what and why things are happening.
I haven't removed that login yet as I'm waiting to hear back from the code's creator to make sure that removing login capability will not cause problems. I'm confident that it won't because I can still login directly to the Admin panel, but I'm bit gunshy anymore and hesitate to make changes when they could break something else.

The Login box should now be invisible. This doesn't make it better, but it certainly makes it less confusing.

You fixed the issue. I can now get into both the forum and gallery. I'll reply to your email as well.
