• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Grid in 3D Design Pro

Try as I might, I cannot find anything that tells me the size of the squares in 3D Design Pro, so I have no idea how big or small a project is until I transfer it to Woodturner Pro. And then I can't make adjustments there, so I have to go back to 3D Design Pro. By extrapolating, it looks like each square is equivalent to 0.2 and 0.25 inches. Is this correct? Thanks!

Unless I'm not understanding you, it really doesn't matter. Design Pro is about shape. When you export it to WP you are asked to specify either a height or a max diameter. It then imports the shape in proportion to what you have designed.

You're exactly right, Wayne. 3DP is purely a design tool that lets you experiment with shape and form. Once you have a form you like, you transfer it to Woodturner PRO and specify either the height or width of the bowl. When you then add rings and click the Profile SNAP button, the vessel will be exactly the width or height that you specified.

If you wish to change the profile, you can either use the 'Move' tool to move individual dots or, and this is a much better idea, switch back to 3DP and repeat the transfer process and change the height or width to your new desired target.
