Make your wall profile in 3DP that looks good to you. Transfer the design into WoodTurner Pro, add your rings and snap to profile.
You can adjust the wall thickness for each ring by changing the outside and inside diameter. You will want to turn on the glue line view in WTTP to ensure you have adequate glue surface between the rings.

WTP was written years ago. Most users of the software used inches (imperial). Calculations are done in imperial inches. A conversation table makes the changes to metric when that option is chosen. The reason 1/10 mm is not shown is because that is the way the report section was written.
The newer software Segment Pro does display metric results in decimals when that option is selected.

attach your woodturner file so I can take a look at it. Doing that will help with the discussion.
Good morning. Unfortunately, I don't understand why the distance between the segments changed. Before it was 2 mm, now I find myself with 1 mm. I followed the measurements on the plan and I think it's a conversion problem. Now I wonder, will it continue to be 1 mm until the end or will I find some other surprise? Thanks Maurizio.

Per velocizzare le cose, ho fatto tutti i primi anelli da 73 mm. Al settimo, ho trovato questo. Se avessi fatto 2/3 del sesto, the segment sarebbe 4,24, e il settimo 4,41. Mi sembra strano che ci sia una differenza di 1 mm sul modello. Spero che la traduzione sia corretta. L'ho fatto con sp e non ho avuto problemi. Penso davvero che sia un problema di conversione. In ogni caso, sto pensando di acquistare comunque i programmi.

Segment Pro is going through a major upgrade. Lloyd is working on new tutorials for Segment Pro. The upgrade will be free to those who already have the program. No release date yet.
WTP gives the user full control of each ring.
SP will still be "rules" based and limit what changes you can make but does most of the planning for the use.
imo, the full package is worth the price.
(While I am a moderator on this forum, I am not a paid employee, nor do I receive compensation from WTP. In my opinion it is the best planning tool out for segmented turners.)
