Thank you both for the info. One other question comes to mind. If the bowl is down with 24 segments, is it ok to make a base with 12 segments?

You can do whatever you want in WTP. Make the base a disk or a ring of the number of segments of your choosing.
One of the many great features of WTP is you have control of each ring.

So it took me a couple of weeks but I got the bowl done. Many mistakes that I have learned from but that is the object of this exercise. I appreciate all is your help on this. Here is the finished bowl.
