• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Am I a bad person?

After being a member of the AAW for 20+ years, I have decided not to renew my subscription for $60.00. The only thing I get is the bi-monthly magazine and $60 seems kinda high for 6 issues of a magazine. I don't go to the symposiums, I don't really read the emails with tips, etc.

I do believe that the AAW has a lot to offer for those that can afford to take advantage of everything they have to offer. And the wealth of knowledge that is available is awesome, but I just can't justify it any more.

Thanks for listening.

I had joined a number of years ago for 1 year but found the magazine progressively moving towards more carving and artsy pieces that were well beyond my skill set.

I have yet to join. Some turners in the wood club are members. Not sure if I will join.

I would hesitate to renew my membership for all the reasons above. However, I am an officer of our local AAW sponsored woodturning club and AAW requires officers to be members.

I didn’t renew this year either. AAW seems to have gone too far from the average turner and devotes too much effort to what I consider artsy fartsy. I do still belong to the Segmented Organization and plan on attending their symposium next September

Make sure you look me up at the Symposium, Greg. My brother and I have been asked to provide the entertainment for the banquet again. For the last symposium, we wrote and performed song parodies about segmenting to Billy Joel songs.

I’ll have a booth at the vendor fair again next year.

I was in St Louis and you guys did a great job entertaining a bunch of Woodturners.

I am thinking about it as well, I see zero benefit for me being a member. Seems like the magazine has one or two things about woodturning that are light years above my skill level and the the rest are ads. Another turn off was the face shield drama that the AAW did.
