• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Just joined the forum and downloaded the trial versions of the software. Going through the tutorials on the site and trying to get a handle on how to use the software. I made a very simple segmented bowl when I first started turning and I am looking to go further. I have a lathe, table saw, stomper, and the open and closed segment plates, however I do not have a jointer, planer or drum sander. Will this cause problems going forward or will I be able to work around it with the equipment I have?

Welcome to the WTP forums.
The software is very useful for planning your segment vessel. WTP is for those who want full control. SP is great in making the design easy, but you loose some control.

Looks like you have a good start on equipment. Not having a planer, jointer or drum sander is only an issue if you are using wood that does not have good top/bottom surfaces or the wood is not at the thickness you want the ring to be. It may mean you have a bit more sanding to do to ensure the rings are flat. Do a search and you will find some ideas on how to use your lathe as a drum sander. Having a Longworth chuck for your lathe can help with flattening the ring by sanding.

Don't be shy and ask questions. We are all hear to help each other.
