• Are you looking for a coupon code to buy my software? You can get one from lots of 3rd party sites but they won't work. My software never goes on sale and has never been discounted. The only coupon codes that are given is when I give a club presentation and I offer a discount to the attendees. Other than that, everyone pays the same price.

Is it necessary to purchase the wegies for bowls, if using the Segment Pro program? Both look like great products, but are the wegies maby easier to learn, but not as meany choices on bowl shape, and is any one using Segment Pro on windows 7?

Hi Tim:
- Some members have used engineer triangles (60/40/90) to set the fence angles. Others have used a good digital protractor (12" or greater).
Others have purchased the wegies or made their own on a cnc machine.

- I have used Lloyds software on window devices running XP and greater. I am currently running all of his software on Windows 10. I see no reason why in would not run on Windows 7. What the software provides is a tool to design your project and the cut list to make each ring. Wood Turner Pro gives you full control of your design. Segment Pro automates the design process but limits some of the changes you may want to make..

I have used a Incra Miter Express cutting sled with a Incra miter gauge with good success. For years I have cut my segment using the traditional one fence system and flipping the wood for each cut. The Inca sled can be set up to use two fences (segeasy) method of cutting because of the T track setup on the sled.

Whatever direction you decide to go with accurate angle cuts are critical in making a good ring.

Thank you for the for the reply. I am looking forward to getting started. When things get back to normal I plan on getting with a wood shop and going to meetings and classes.

Is their a training tutorial on woodturning pro to try ,I have a digital pro tractor for angles and calipers for length, also do I need a board for angles, not needing to make a bowl just practice with cutting rings.

In the forum go to software, there is a section for each one, with videos that Lloyd has produced to help with the software
